Energy Panel

How do you build a solar panel that can convert solar energy to the energy, just to be on your roof a house?
Well, I'm looking for a cheap way to build a solar panel, instead of buying from stores manufacturing. I would stay in the budget to $ 1,000. I want solar power to my house because the sun always shines. Is it possible that I can make the light output of some of my home? What would I need? How long would it take? Where can I get the elements I need?
You have some options. One option is to set up a solar panel for producing hot water. If you live in a cold climate you might have to use vacuum tubes and it will probably blow your budget. The hot water could be used as a pre-heating of your system existing hot water. Complete systems for hot water will not likely fit into your budget. The second option is a small solar panel to generate electricity. To fit in you a thousand dollar budget, you'll need something like this: 1) a panel 80W. It will cost about $ 400. You can not do it yourself solar cells, it is just as well buy a full panel. 2) A small solar charge controller for about $ 100. This will take power from the panel and make sure your battery is fully charged. 3) An inverter. It takes power from the battery and generate a power of 120 volts AC (Such as your Wall Outlet). A 120W unit will be less than $ 200. 4) A 12 volt deep cycle battery, maybe $ 120. 5) A transfer switch to turn off power when the battery runs down and transfer power from 120 volt utility. You should be able to assemble all the for $ 1,000. However, you should consider this as a hobby. The power you'll generate a value less than $ 10 per year, and is about enough to power a DSL modem and router (such as your Internet connection). If it lasts 25 years, your investment (or loss in this case) will be approximately less 9%. Of course, the battery does not last as long, but others could. The real power you can generate can be estimated based Card sunstroke. I'll post a link below for some that might help you. Capturing the heat is probably more value (eg using a collector heat rather than a collector for photovoltaic electricity). You can probably find plans on the Internet for do-it-yourself collectors flat plate using plumbing parts and electronic circuit schematics for things such as solar charge controllers, but I think it will be too complicated for your first project, unless you really like tinkering. purchasing components and integrate them yourself (Understanding how to get that all interconnected) will workloads for you the first draft. Do not be discouraged by the economy. You will learn many things in the process and knowledge always a good thing. One day when prices drop on silicon cells (perhaps a new thin film technology) and vacuum tubes are made by hundreds of millions you can use your skills to make a larger and more profitable. system have a lot of fun.
