Canon Wide Angle Lenses For Eos Cameras

suitable cameras for taking pictures of properties?
i am an estate agent and need an SLR camera to take internal and external shots of properties.
i have been looking at a Canon EOS 1000D as the price seems quite good, i havent a clue on what wide angle lens to buy for it. i want one that makes the rooms look as big as possible without ditorting the image too much. i am looking up to about £500 for the camera and lens. i know that i will need to buy a flash, bag and tripod but these are quite easy to buy. any help or recomendations on both cameras and lenses. thank you
The choice of camera is not as important as the choice of lens. For architectural purposes, you generally will need a wider angle lens.
Most of the digital SLR kits that I’ve seen have included a lens in the general neighborhood of 18-55mm – that’s a good starting lens. You could look for a wider angle, but as the lens focal length becomes shorter, the risk of distortion increases. So staying with a moderate wide angle may be the safest approach for your purpose.
