Western Digital External Hard Drive Backup
I have the Western Digital External Hard Drive for backups.?
Do I need to use the Memeo Autobackup that came with it? If not, how do I do my backup myself with the Western Digital? I want to backup two computers. Thanks

Most of the commercial backup programs back up using compression to one large file. If you want to restore any one file you need to use the backup program that created the file.
I back up two computers on two external hard drives and use a free backup application that backs up uncompressed files which you can easily access by clicking on them, copy and paste using windows Explores. That made more sense to me than having to use a backup program to select only one file.
The free program I use is FB Backup, it is very fast and allows easy recovery. Link below.
If you want to make an image of your entire computer you can use Norton Ghost or Acronius True Image.
